- can I get into a good college?
- what is the nature of different colleges?
- is graduate school the right choice? (versus, can I get into a good graduate school)
the faster you have enough context to start asking the right questions, the better
another example:
- how do I date?
- who is suitable for dating?
- what are the characteristics of myself in relation to other natural personalities?
- do I feel at a level where I should date? is it responsible to date given current conditions?
as you get older the things you read also change. things like “cities I visited during my solo trip to X continent” have no interest now. too short term, too superficial, no sense of place
