Image editing software tends to be the exception. Easy to access tools with quick feedback on screen. PowerPoint/Keynote is better served by GUIs, though Marp (https://marp.app/) exists.
Video editing software feels too complex to be easily manageable, so something more code-like may benefit. I haven’t tried out enough CAD or video editing with code to see its effectiveness, but running ffmpeg is preferable to opening up the video editor to trim.
Things when they become too complex and too many buttons (MS Word) give way to simpler things at higher levels of abstractions (that hide a lot of complexity underneath!)
